Kim goes Norrland

Enter Västerbotten

Posted in Japan by kkkim on August 2, 2011

We left Myre and Östersund yesterday and arrived at a small farm just northwest of the municipality and small society Vindeln around midnight. The drive, around 400 km, was actually a quite pleasant one. Especially the 115 km between Vilhelmina and lycksele with almost no settlement at all.

It’s crazy beautiful here. We’re staying at our friend Davids place, just a rockthrow from Vindalsälven, a giant river that goes from the Scandinavian mountains all the way down to Bottenviken outside Ume. The weather has been good these days too, no rain and only some clouds here and there on the sky.
